The Royal Family Farming Legacy
Share
Royal Honey is just one branch of our family's agricultural roots, built on generations of farming, stewardship, and hard work.
Long before Royal Honey filled jars with honey, our family was rooted in the fields of Royal City, Washington.
For generations, farming has been more than a career, it's been a way of life. Melanie's grandparents, Wells and Loriol Allred, helped lay the foundation for what would become Royal Family Farms. What began with row crops eventually grew into a family of farms that today produces potatoes, apples, cherries, peas, sweet corn, asparagus, alfalfa, wheat, triticale, beef, dairy, honey, and more.
As the family grew, so did the farm. Each generation found its own place in agriculture while holding onto the same values that have guided our family from the beginning: hard work, stewardship, faith, and a commitment to leaving the land better than we found it.
Those values continue to shape everything we do.
Today, our extended family farms throughout the Royal City area. The crops they grow feed families across the country, and many of those same fields are pollinated by our bees. It's a partnership that reminds us every season how connected agriculture really is.
When Bud first became interested in beekeeping, he wasn't looking to start a honey business. He simply wanted better pollination for a watermelon patch. But those first hives eventually grew into Royal Honey, allowing us to become another piece of our family's agricultural story.
While each part of the family has its own role, we all share the same purpose: producing quality food while caring for the land entrusted to us.
We're grateful to raise our family where generations before us have done the same. Farming has taught us patience, resilience, and that the best things are built over time. It has also taught us that success isn't measured only by what you harvest today, but by what you leave for tomorrow.
Thank you for supporting a family that believes good food begins with healthy land, healthy pollinators, and people who care deeply about both.
