As the weather begins to change and a new season is upon us, the bees' work slows down and honey harvest moves into full swing! To celebrate the start of autumn, try our cozy and delicious apple cider caramel made with our Royal Honey!
Ingredients:
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)
1 cup Royal Honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of ground ginger
Directions:
1. Pour the apple cider in a deep saucepan or Dutch oven and bring to a boil.
2. Add the stick of butter and continue boiling until butter is melted.
3. Stir in the honey, cinnamon, and ginger.
4. Cool (stirring constantly) until temperature reads 255-260 °F on a candy thermometer.
5. Pour into an 8x8 sized pan lined with parchment paper.
6. Allow to cool completely (can refrigerate to expedite the process).
7. Once cooled, lift parchment paper out of pan and use a pizza cutter (or knife) to slice caramels into small pieces.
8. Wrap caramels individually in parchment paper until ready to eat. Enjoy!
